Codman's exercises, otherwise known as the

Pendulum orTic-Toc Exercises

As always, check with the doctor to make sure these exercises are for you.

Bend over, using your unaffected arm for support on a stable surface. Allow your affected arm to hand straight down to the floor, keeping the shoulder muscles relaxed. Start to rotate the arm CLOCKWISE and count out 30 circles. Repeat in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE motion for the count of 30.

Now move the arm FORWARD and BACKWARD for the count of 30. Then SIDE to SIDE for the count of 30.  Gravity is your friend.  Let gravity help you.  Don't be too aggressive.  You should make little bits of progress each day.  If you do the exercises 10 times a day for a minute or two each time, then you will do much better than if you do them less frequently.

"Those that do their exercises the most do the best, those that do the exercises the least do the worst."  A. Smith
