The Big 4

The Big 4 is a combination of the Big 3 and one more exercise.  If you have been given the Big 4 to do, then refer to The instructions for the Big 3 and add this exercise with the same number of repetitions as for the others.

Number 4

This is a tough exercise.  If you have been put on the Big 4, then you probably have a lot of strength and we are really interested in seeing you get a lot stronger.  Note what Dax is doing here.  His elbows are away from the body and held in exactly the same place while the arms are rotated outwards as shown.  Slow and easy, this will strengthen the rotator cuff very well.  Don't cause pain with this exercise.  If it hurts, you aren't ready.  Hold off until you are stronger.  You may not be able to do as many of these as you do of the other Big 3 and that is fine.  Be patient.  Muscles take a lot of time to develop.
